Hundreds of artists, thousands of records spun … nine years of bringing the very best drum and bass events to Toronto. In this time we’ve introduced you to some of the worlds top established and upcoming artists and have collaborated with promotion companies reaching as far as London UK.

For our 9th Anniversary party we bring back The Brookes Brothers, a Toronto favourite fresh off the heals of releasing their first full length self titled album with Breakbeat Kaos. Ranging from Dubstep to Electro to their signature hi energy Drum and Bass sound, their album has been a favourite the world over hitting the top of every popular DnB record sales chart.

As the perfect complement to the Brookes Brothers party rocking anthem style, we bring you Lynx. Deep soul and heavy funk dnb vibes are his claim to fame with music such as the thunderous “Disco Dodo” tearing up the blueprint of we thought drum and bass should be. We catch Lynx while on his current North American tour hitting city after city in support of his new label Detail Recordings.

This was Sigma’s third visit for Soul In Motion and possibly the best.  The vibe was amazing at one of our favourite shows this year at a new club for us.  Aurum Room was an outstanding space and everyone was feeling it from the front to the back of the venue.

Here’s a couple of quick reviews from party goers that night:

All the DJ’s were on point and everything flowed very nicely. Sigma was absolutely ridiculous! He made it fuckin impossible to tell what was gunna be thrown at you next. All in all, was an awesome night…..can’t wait to see what Soul In Motion is gunna come up with next.

FUCKING SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK! big ups to everyone it was fucking amazing!

This was an amazing night with a truly talented artist. Dave Spectrasoul was absolutely on point when it came down to throwing down the heavy Soul tracks. Also he seems to have an inhuman ability to drink whiskey, while a glass of anything else might get him tipsy.

Since the conception of his label in 2002, both Kasra and Critical Music have left an indelible mark on the scene by committing to the goal of putting out the best music the scene has to offer.
