Here’s one I’ve been playing a lot of lately, fresh out on Viper Recordings today.

“Climb High” is another superb tune by my all time favourite collaborators, The Brookes Brothers and Danny Byrd. When these guys get together the funk flows heavy and there’s usually a super catchy vocal or melody involved. I imagine a fair bit of Courvoisier, or some other fancy ass alcoholic beverages flow too!

Part of the reason I love D&B so much is because of the way you can encompass so many different vibes when the BPMs are somewhere around 170. This one fits firmly in the funky dance floor area, and its quite lovely! But I’ve managed to fit it into all kinds of sets, which is the mark of a fantastic tune.
